The Rogue Invitational Strongman, despite being a relatively new competition, has quickly become one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. Now in its third year, the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman is set to take place from October 27-29 in the greater Austin, Texas area at Dell Diamond. Fans will be delighted to know that this year’s competition promises to be even better than before.
The lineup for the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman has been revealed through Rogue Invitational’s Instagram account. It includes ten elite Strongman athletes, three of whom are the most recent World’s Strongest Man champions. Additionally, three finalists from the 2023 WSM will be competing, all vying to become the third Rogue Invitational champion. Martins Licis, the 2021 champion, will not be participating this year as he has decided to take a break from competing in most competitions. Oleksii Novikov, the 2022 champion, will be returning to defend his title.
Oleksii Novikov is considered one of the favorites for the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman title. He is a well-known name in the sport, having won the 2020 WSM and the 2022 Europe’s Strongest Man. Despite struggling with an elbow injury, Oleksii put up a strong performance in the 2023 WSM contest. Another top contender for the title is Mitchell Hooper, who has already claimed two major titles in Strongman this year. He won the 2023 Arnold Strongman Classic and emerged victorious in the 2023 WSM. Hooper is aiming to win the 2023 Shaw Classic and then go for gold at the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman.
Tom Stoltman, with two WSM titles under his belt (2022 & 2021), is also expected to be a strong contender in the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman. Despite finishing in second place twice this year, Stoltman has proven that he has what it takes to win. While any remaining athlete in the lineup could potentially surprise everyone, there are two men who stand out as the most likely to do so. Trey Mitchell, the two-time Shaw Classic champion and 2023 North America’s Strongest Man, has the potential to upset the favorites. Evan Singleton, who defeated Hooper and Stoltman at the recent 2023 Giants Live Strongman Classic, is also riding the momentum of his best year in the sport yet, having placed fifth in the 2023 WSM.
Pavlo Nakonechnyy and Mateusz Kieliszkowski are regarded as top talents in Strongman, capable of achieving great things. However, both athletes have been dealing with injuries, so it remains to be seen if they will fully recover in time for the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman.
The lineup for the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman is truly incredible, featuring ten of the strongest and mentally resilient athletes in the sport. This year, the competition offers an increased prize money, with the winner set to receive over $130,000. There is no doubt that each of the ten competitors will leave everything they have on the competition floor.
The 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman is shaping up to be a thrilling event, showcasing the incredible strength and determination of these elite athletes. Fans can expect an intense battle for the title and a display of extraordinary feats of strength. The competition will undoubtedly be a highlight of the Strongman calendar.
